This may have nothing to do with renovations, but we do know how to party!! Jeff and I took a little hiatus from even thinking about our to to-do list this past weekend so that we could host the 10th Annual MIB MAID BBQ. What is MIB MAID, you ask? Good question. It stands for Midway In Between Memorial and Independence Days. Jeff began this fine tradition with a former roommate, and it has continued to grow every year. Traditional MIB MAID fare includes picked eggs (???), a million different kinds of marinated meat, cream soda, cole slaw, delicious apple dip, and a TON of other things that we cooked up the night before. Add a whole bunch of additions from family and friends, and you have a MIB MAID. This year's turnout was a little smaller than usual with about 45 adults and a whole bunch of kids. It gave us a great opportunity to spend some more quality time talking with all of our guests!
Here's a little snapshot of the afternoon...(I'm still practicing my documentation skills!)
The happy couple at the end of the night....
And the kitchen left behind to clean!
